The coastline is patrolled by a beach safety group that works year round to ensure the safety of visitors to the seven miles of coastline. The beach is a wonderful get-away that provides an individual a place to rest and reflect. The town is constantly improving the town and has recently installed Spanish tile steps to the beach from the promenade. In addition they maintain the recreation and activity areas so that visitors are always able to enjoy the town at its best.

The town is constantly being upgraded and improved to make the vacation experience even more grand. An outdoor arena is being finished that will house over twenty thousand people. When completed the arena will be home to many of the festivals and events that currently are held year round throughout Blackpool.

During 2010 the theatre will be featuring both musicals and many of Oscar Wilde's plays. Many five star restaurants surround the theatre and provide an elegant repast after spending an evening at a play.

As with all towns in England, the Town Centre offers visitors an abundance of activities and fun. St. John's Town Centre is surrounded by stunning shops and cafes that allow a person to relax and enjoy the days activities. Street theatre and music is a regular feature at the centre. There are markets, concerts, and other events held regularly.
